Abstract: We present formalizations of two independent results from the  
field of differential equations for the Isabelle/HOL proof assistant.  
Building on an existing formalization of initial value problems, we extend  
the definition of the exponential function to the space of bounded linear  
operators and use it to derive an explicit solution to autonomous, linear  
IVPs on banach spaces. We also examine the more general case of autonomous  
IVPs on euclidean C^1 vector fields and prove the flow of such systems to  
be in C^1 as well.
