Abstract: In this paper we present methods for efficient formal computation  
of the arithmetic operations addition and multiplication with an arbitrary  
base. Our approach is based on previous work, and uses pre-computed results  
saved in lookup tables, which are then read to compute the result in  
singe-digit steps. We also give a comparison of the performance our  
implementation with that of other evaluation methods.
